I'm not 100% sure, but I think the newer BMWs are hard to upgrade due to integration between the headunit and the main computer. Look into the Pioneer P9 which has a lot of nice features and really great sound.
If you do install a aftermarket Cd-player in your new BMW I think you'll viod their warranty. As the manual clearly states that installing any after market items on to your bimmer will result in voiding the warranty. Also will you be able to control your CD tracks from the wheel? <---- might wanna reconsider before doing it. $800 is for the 6-disc cd charger not the ($200) single bunsiness class cd player.
There is only one way to go in headunits. Nakamichi. If you can afford it, the best deck in the world is the Nakamichi CD-700. If you can't afford that get the CD-45z, very nice decks.
