Best ACTION MOVIE of all times :)

Note the term action movie refers to movies watched for the spectacle of special effects, big explosions, and simple, easy-on-the mind plot.

mine are

1. Jurassic Park 1
2. Matrix
3. Shaolin Soccer 🙂

matrix was good, but not in the top 3!

but then again, i disagree with your criterea for action movie.

anyways:

police story

i must step in here and say that the matrix's plot was not a "simple easy on the mind" plot, it was a very very good plot, which some people didn't get at first.

Let's try wake up some more folks here:

At least no one is dumb enough to claim one of the SW movies might be good enough to make it to any kind of top 3.

1. Aliens (Alien was horror, Aliens was Action, Alien 3 was stretching it, Alien Resurrection was crap)
2. Hard Boiled (20 minute gunfight seen to open, 45 minute gunfight scene to close)
3. Raiders of the Lost Arc (you know when action starts, the Indiana Jones theme immediately pops into your head)

And I have to protest about one someone said. In what way does Fight Club have an easy-on-the-mind plot.

1. T2
2. Aliens
3. Desperado
4. The Big Hit
5. Dusk till dawn (how much easier on the brain can you get?)

Matrix was far from easy on the brain, the best part of matrix is that i think it WAS a though generating movie, dang good movie though. (Still think it parallel'd Ghost in the Shell too much)

EDIT:

"At least no one is dumb enough to claim one of the SW movies might be good enough to make it to any kind of top 3. "

brave man, and i congrat you for it..😉 (Lucas can't direct his way out of a paper bag, granted he didn't direct 5 or 6(or did he?), but he's done a wonderful job screwing up 1 and 2)

Also blade is a runner up in this list, as well as the Indy movies.

I agree... I had to watch Fight Club 4 times before I finally realized everything that was going on.

Hmm, you could call that action, or you could call it sucky aiming skills 😉

You could, but taking out like 200 guys with about 300 bullets seems pretty good to me. It's not like they're fighting 1 bad guy for 40 minutes.
