I have a Retail bought BBA X800XT PE with a ATI Silencer on it and the thing rocks. However, I can sell it on ebay for $850.00. So for economical reasons I am going to sell it and purchase a 6800GT. I would like the best one for $400.00. I have reason to believe PNY is crap and I shouldn't buy it. However, PNY is convenient that I can pick one up at CompUSA. Pointers anyone?

I would say use the search function.

I have a Leadtek; they have a nice cooling setup, but i think you will find the answer most people give is BFG.

I think the main criteria should be the warranty (shipping fees to RMA, turnaround time, warranty period?), the cooler (quiet, bigger typically = cooler?), and the bundle (decent games for a little more $?). The card itself is probably the same quality throughout (though you may want to ensure you get metal capacitors if you're in a very humid environment).

Leadtek is supposed to have a very quiet cooler, though it's a two-slot solution. If you're in the US, you'd be paying $30+ tax on a retail GT, no? I'd order online and wait a few days to save the $30. Put it towards Far Cry or something.

BTW, that's an insane price for the XTPE--nice. :)

Yeah, the cooler is quiet on the Leadtek, & as long as taking up two slots isn't a problem, it's one of the nicer ones imo.

I think he is talking about Canadian currency.

That would make more sense...but there are no CompUSAs in Canada...so i don't think he is :Q
That & there are no GTs for $400 Cdn. as he mentioned...so he's certainly not speaking in Canadian funds.

Damn, that's some nice money is all i can say.

US$, There are some that have gone this high. Especially since it has the ATI silencer on it plus a $65 2year-warranty through CompUSA. Which is exchange for price paid.

Geez...$850... Lot o' money Glavin. Once you sell it you could get 2 GTs instead of 1, and run them SLI. :D
