My parents want it for their living room, to build into the wall. 50" is too big and they said they don't want to get a projector.
I said $10,000 because they really don't have a limit on it, just want the best.

What's your real budget? Under $10,000 can give you a nice plasma (an no, the $3000 plasmas are not the nice ones). Fuji makes some really nice high-end displays. I'd spend the money on a 1080P DLP or LCD and a nice receiver, speakers, etc.

Pioneer Elite PRO-920...the Sony XBR's are quite as overpriced as they used to be...just go to your local hifi shop and look around, maybe bring a reference disc with good contrast changes, skin tones, etc.

Wow, thanks troll. Some plasmas still go for $10k, like the ones they were looking at in Circuit City and Best Buy. I'm trying to help them pick out a very nice plasma or lcd, not just the retail priced stuff from those two stores.

Supa, just go to avsforum like someone else suggested..then tell them you have 10k at your disposal and you want a size from 42 to 45". They will tell you what to get.

I would tell them the cost of said TV is $10,000 then get the money, buy a TV for half that(still good quality), and blow the rest

I was at BB last week and the most expensive Plasma I saw was a 50" sony. $6999.

I don't think BB or CC sells $10K tvs.

If you want the best, you want one that can do 1080p natively. There are a bunch due out any day, but if you can't wait, get this.

Only does 1024 x 768 natively in the 42" size. This was hot last year, but is now old news.
