It wasn't when I posted it. Still a pretty good deal.

Wow now its back on auto-notify. For about 5 minutes there it had the orange add to cart button. Those must be selling fast. 😛

Probably that. To spend $280 on RAM is silly unless squeezing those last few benchmarks outta 3dmark is really that important to you...

That said, I bet you could do 260mhz with pretty tight timings on these and no divider.
i believe this is the best oc'ing stuff out. a close second should be the mushkin redline stuff.

stay away from crucial ballistix pc4000 kits! although my second set is running fine at it's rated speed, i would still not recommend them.

They also generally only run 2.5-3-3 in A64 systems, & according to the newegg reviews, many need to be RMAed (likely due to the fact that they usually have to be run at CAS 2.5 on A64s).

Yeah the mushkin redline stuff is actually what I would pick over the OCZ if I had the cash, but the OP wanted sub-$300. I think mushkin wants closer to $400 on their website for the redline ddr500. But it would be sweet if you had the cash to blow...

Mushkin Redline XP4000 is supreme, but Corsair has a DDR400 kit that uses the same Infineon DDR333-C chips. Generally there are ways you can buy $200 RAM and spend the extra $100 elsewhere to give more overall system performance than $300 RAM.
