best 22" widescreen monitor

im getting a new 22" widescreen monitor, and i need some help choosing the best cost/performance ratio. Should i get the westinghouse or samsung? or other brands?

Get the one that's cheapest. They all use the same LCD panel AFAIK. Warranties may be differ between the brands though.

As Elfear said, they're all the same panel. Look for one with the features and inputs you need. I have the westinghouse and I love it. It's a bit blurry on svideo and composite, but great on DVI and D-SUB (VGA). It also has component input, which is perhaps marginally better than svideo/composite (with my 480p dvd player). It has built in speakers that are very pititiful. The stand is very basic...tilt only, no swivel or height. Colors/brightness/contrast are all very good, imho (but i'm no expert). I have it set on 20% brightness and contrast and it is already very adequete for my room.

Yeah, same here, I love my westinghouse. I love all the inputs and the p-i-p feature so I can watch tv from my vcr while surfing net at the same time. Too bad it doesn't have a remote though, switching settings by buttons on the back is a little annoying.
