Ugh, looks terrible. I was planning on getting a Civic in a few years. I have a 92 Accord now.

The only improvement is the headlights. They got rid of those wide eyed ones that with the Honda H symbol makes the car look like a chipmunk.

Getting a car for simply looks is retarded tho. I may get this or a Toyota. Reliability is everything.

Ugly. I like the way the 2005's sedans look better. But I think I like the 2006 coupe better than the 2005 coupe. And my first reaction was the same as some of yours - it looks like a Saturn. Especially with the badge covered, there's no way you could instantly identify that as a Civic, or even a Honda. Whereas all of the last few gens of civics have retained similar styling cues.

Coupe looks nice, the sedan looks like a mini version of the Acura RL from that overhead view...

it looks short and stubby. are my first impressions. But I hope it looks much better in real life.

The bad thing about this is that the car looks so bad that the ricers will move their taint to some other brand.

I would buy a Honda Civic because it is:
1. reliable
2. durable, over 200 K miles with basic maintenance
3. affordable, $12K to $15K
4. comfortable

Looks and performance are way done on the list.

OMG, the Mazda3 & Toyota Prius had a love child!!

Something tells me that the fit and finish will still be behind the Corolla's.

Mebbe you haven't looked at the difference between the recent Civic interiors versus the current Corolla interior. This has been discussed before.

Ever see the difference in interiors between the last gen Accord and the current Accord? Expect the Civic to take that kind of leap (especially since it's moving upmarket).
