I'm buying a digital camera for my father's birthday, i have 200$ to spend and i want to order it from Newegg if possible.

What should i buy?

Not really, i don't know anything about cameras and he doesn't either, just want the best one i can get for that money 🙂

just get a canon with IS and be done with it.
 
Yeah, keep it simple and get either a Canon A series (if you want to spend a little less) or a Canon SD series (if you want a smaller camera)
 
I recently picked up a Canon SX100 for my mom, and played with it a bit before shipping it off to her. I absolutely loved it, and the zoom range was definitely worth it. Newegg currently carries them for $215, and if you wait for the right moment, you can pick them up in stores for a bit under $200, with the appropriate combinations of sales and coupons.

Plus, CHDK was recently ported to the SX100, so untold fun can be had with it.
 
In addition to Canon, Nikon & Fujifilm make some pretty good cameras in that price range.
