Best 2 GB RAM for Intel 925XCV?

Getting ready (at last!) to start ordering parts for my first self-built system. I'm using a Lian-Li V2000 case, Intel 925XCV mobo and P4 550 CPU. I want to put 2 GB of RAM in. I looked on Newegg, but quickly realized that I have lost touch w/who makes the best memory these days. I also am confused as to whether it should be registered/unbuffered, what is Cas latency, should it have ECC, etc.?

I appreciate any and all advice. Thanks.

IF you are using an Intel motherboard, forget about performance.

Crucial Makes the best ram. Period. Standard Issue Crucial will work.
I made a mistake in my last two posts i recomended DDR1 that board uses DDR2.
