best 2.1 speaker system

i decided to buy altec ACS48 speaker system since this is the best i ever heard so far........i just wonder any other products that can beat this babe, only 2.1 speaker system i looking for...... thanx guys =)

The ACS48s are definitely the best 2.1 speakers for your buck. You can find them for less than $100 I think. If you have $200 to spare, also consider the new Klipsch Pro-Media 2.1s.

Diamond Audio HPM-4100's. (midiland 4100)
Its a shame they are not making them anymore. They were definately some of the best 2.1 channel systems ever made for computers.

For $100 - Boston Acoustics BA790.
For $200 - Klipsch ProMedia 2.1

FWIW for $140 the Boston Acoustics BA4800 4.1's are tough to beat. I went w/ the Klipsch simply because my office couldn't accomodate the 4.1 setup. The ProMedia's want a relatively flat eq setup, but when you get it right they cook <g>.

very happy with my Monsoon MM-700 flat panels speakers...listen to them if you can they are great and will crank out the sound ifn you need that...the Altec 48s was my next choice but they only come in beige and i have a black system.....about 125 at outpost delivered tomorrow morning...

I love my altes too and the cash I saved went too more hardware and thats really what we all want;)
