The P95F+B linked above is good.

There is no such thing as a monitor still manufactured that doesn't do at least 125Hz refresh... in 640x480. That spec is meaningless without a resolution it is combined with.

Mitsubishi dp930-sb diamondtron. Here is a fantastic price on it. Generally regarded the finest 19". $290.00 here with free shipping, no tax. Its a bit more than the nec fe991 diamondtron but the mitsubishi has .24 dot and the patented unparalleled mitsubishi u-nx gun. The Viewsonic The P95F+B is good too. It uses a Diamondtron tube but does not have the u-nx gun. It uses same gun that the nec fe991 uses and is comparable to the 991 in quality. DP930 is a bit more crisp and text is more sharp. The viewsonic and nec have a variable dot pitch of .25-.27

There is also the P90f, generally about the same price as the P95F (within $10 of each other), same resolution/refresh capabilities, but with 0.24mm stripe pitch.

Vicious: the image quality on these CRTs will seriously blow away your Dell 1800FP. Why pay $100 extra for inferior image quality and resolution?

I have a Professional Series PF790 ViewSonic. Is it worth upgrading to the P95F+B in your opinion?

I have the P95f+, and it's pretty good. There are two things I dislike about it: When you first turn it on, the picture is skewed off the screen and distorted, and it gradually moves into place. Secondly, the glass itself has horizontal lines about 3 inches from the top and 3 inches from the bottom of the screen. These look like they're part of the manufacturing process in producing the flat screen, but they're noticeable against a light background, and it's annoying.

Edit: Higgs, I used to have a G790 that finally gave out. In all honesty, I'm happy with either one. I would say that if you like your current monitor, keep it unless you have money to burn.
