Best 17inch Dell LCD Monitor?

I was just about to buy a 20inch LCD monitor when I realized it would be counter productive since the screens are so close to my eys on the desktop...a 17 lcd seems better suited for my needs. In order of priority:

1. Text sharpness / crispness /clarity ( i do a lot of online reading )
2. Color reproduction
3. response time (I game occassionaly, but I hate image smearing)
4. Ergonomics and aesthetic look

Which Dell LCD should I get? And yes, I can only get a Dell one because I can get a good deal from them.
 
Dell only offers two 17" LCDs, no? The E173 and the 1704. The E173 is analog-only, so that just leaves the 1704, which has pretty good specs.
