wait, the L70S has DVI? this incorrect info on a website? also, like most of you said - the 710n is a solid pick, not sure if it'll be missing dvi though.

Man I can't believe no one mentioned the Sony S74.

Not the X73 or S73 or some other crappy sony product, but a good one!

Very good LCD, but up in cost with the Samsung 710. I preferred to sony in a face to face battle.

err LCD to LCD battle.

If you can catch a decent rebate, you might be able to find a 710N closer to 350 than 400... At least this is what I remember from a few weeks ago when I was shopping around heavily. As far as DVIs being expensive, again, you get what you pay for. Most cheaper LCDs dont have DVI inputs, and you should also consider factoring in the cost of a DVI cable (if one is not included) if you wanted to buy a DVI monitor, because they aren't dirt cheap (18 shipped at Newegg).

Edit:
Here's an old thread where there appears to have been a deal on the 712N for under 350 (just to show it might be possible).

These things come and go like the wind tho...

I vote the Hyundai L70S. I picked one up at Frys today for $250. Its pretty good. The only other LCD I used at work, and its an Apple LCD. Its hard to tell if there is a difference quality wise because OS X looks a lot better than NT, but I have no complaints so far.

another vote for the L70S.
