best 17" monitor

I'm looking to get a new monitor. It will be for my dormroom, so 17" is probably the biggest I can go. I would go for 19" but the one I have at home takes up too much space. I don't think it is a short neck model, so if this makes a difference then maybe I will consider another 19". I play mostly games, but also want text and everything to look as good as possible. Price isn't a very big concern because being a 17" monitor, it will be relatively cheap anyway. I was looking at a KDS profession series, and it seemed to be a very good deal. I have no experince with KDS however, so I don't know how great the quality is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Or go to Walmart and get a KDS Rad-5 for $349 if desk space is a concern. The Rad-5 is a very nice LCD and games look great on it also.
