Best 17" LCD?

I'm looking to buy a 17" LCD for gaming, but I have no clue what I should look out for. I know I want fast response time, probably less than 12 ms. Does the grille pitch mean much for LCDs? Also, is 16.8 million colors really necessary, can you really tell the difference? I'm not going to be doing much with photos or videos.

I've been looking at this.

Is that a good deal?

I would go with that one. It even has a $50.00 MIR.

The Viewsonics have a really good picture and overall "look" to their LCD's.

The MIR is only for when you buy it along with a 60$ router. 🙁

Yeah, that would be a safe bet. You still can't beat CRT's when it comes to gaming, but I almost bought this one myself.

Looks like you have to buy a router, though, to get that MIR. That's still pretty nice for 17" gaming. Good luck finding a 12ms or faster lcd with an 8 bit panel (16.8 million colors), you have to choose one or the other right now. If you're stuck on 17", I'd go with that ViewSonic, if you want 19" get this.
