wtf is ur problem? no im not going to get a Benq monitor, contco or whatever the hell else, prolly end up getting a samsung, sony of viewsonic. im not building a new system, i just built another one a few months ago, and did not post a building new systems idea thread. If you don't want to be helpful then go away. I know there have been posts here bout this, and I know of some i would be able to get that would work great, but they are not in retail stores.

Samsung and Sony don't even have 16ms lcds anyways.

BTW, that Benq monitor you are so against has the same screen as the Viewsonic you were looking at.

Ok, I read somewhere that all 16ms screens use the same actual panel right? Anyone have any experience with that viewsonic? I am looking at that because hitachi I can't find in any stores with a good return policy, and that's something I need with the dead pixel problems people have been having. Would the Hitachi look the same better or worse than that viewsonic? One thing i noticed was the 500:1 contrast ratio on the viewsonic. I read something about LCD's only being able to display a limited number of colors at a time or something like that on a review of a monitor, anyone know what's up with that?

I've heard as few complaints obout the brightness not being the same through out the screen, do u agree or disagree bout this?

im going to have to disagree. Sometimes my brightness/contrast looks off on some movies/games, but once i change it, the whole screen reflects my settings.
