BES delivering emails slowly

We used to get emails to our blackberrys before outlook but now we get emails sometimes a minute after we get them in our Outlook. Anyone know what could be causing this? Neither of our servers (blackberry & exchang) have an unusual amount of load, so I doubt that it is caused by high load.

We are running version BES 4.1 SP5 and Exchange server 2003 v 6.5.7 on Windows Server 2003 SP2.

We recently upgraded to DEB 4.1 from 4.0 but the problem was happening before that change. We also moved all our users over to Office 07 beginning of the year, but I highly doubt the new version of outlook receives emails from exchange faster than '03 did.

Set the time limit in Outlook to check for messages to a larger number. Problem solved.

That doesn't solve the problem it makes it seem like it isn't there. It's now taking much longer than a minute at times to get emails delivered. Sometimes 2 - 5 minutes to get them to the blackberrys.
