The bar for VP is quite low but probably not quite this low.

I always love how someone "does a good job" after some catastrophe. Take hurricanes for example. This is as low-hanging fruit as you can get.

How fucking stupid or unqualified do you have to be to NOT do a good job? You make empathetic noises, put on your serious face at press conferences, go visit people and hand out water bottles. And sure, do some actual work by giving the people whose job it is to handle things the stuff they need to do that work.

Sure, Trump screwed it up after a hurricane, but that's Trump.

If this Bernie guy is a felon, well that probably is a plus to get the GOP voters excited. Besides that, what matters is his policies. There's a decent chance that we the voters are going to be voting for Kamala and whoever Trump picks, given the age of Biden and Trump.
Stokely meet Katrina. Katrina meet Stokely. :)

Bernie Kerik would beef up Donald Trump's law and order appeal, and he would help him win every cop and firefighter in America---along with the Black male vote---Kerik was popular with Black cops during his 1 year tenure as NYC police commissioner under Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

Other than Kerik, Nikki Haley and Tim Scott lead the list despite them both running for president....

What do you think?
I have two main thoughts. I don't think every cop and firefighter is as stupid as you think they are. And I think you sure have ramped up posting threads in the last couple weeks.

It’s also unclear to me why nominating someone who spent three years in federal prison for multiple felony convictions would increase law and order appeal.

-Let the 'turfing begin.

I wonder how @GettyRoad feels about the fact that Kerick abandoned a child he had with a woman when he was stationed in Korea? Or carried on multiple extramarital affairs, some in apartments that had been set aside for 9/11 first responders? Family Values? What's that?

Nevermind the outright bribery and shit.

Well, when you put it like that, he IS the perfect VP candidate for Trump.

That might damage with suburban women, but suburban men will remember the days and hours after 9/11.

Not really material to the question I asked you originally. Just admit it you pulled it out of your ass.
It is, I answered it. Kerik brings loyalty to Trump, he beefs up the law and order appeal, he seals the deal with all cops and firefighters, and he helps with suburban blue collar men and Black men in the inner cities.

I specifically asked where you are reading that this guy is a serious contender for the VP slot. You have yet to provide any source.

You don't need sources, Trump doesn't do sources. You should know his gut. Trump doesn't do sabermetrics and analytics, he goes by the heart, not the head.

Trump will pick someone who he feels is close to him and is loyal. That's Kerik. Kerik will see that he wins every law enforcement person's endorsement, and that EVERY cop, black, white, etc. votes for Trump.

I know most white cops will vote for Trump, even the ones that work in the inner cities.

So we're back to you pulled this idea out of your ass.

Any other random shit you're afraid of you want to start a thread about?

There's some truth in this.

Suburban (white) men are terrified of various boogiemen they've been trained to be terrified of by the people you take seriously as "thinkers". They'll happily bow down to whichever Strongman they most identify with, this week.

Meanwhile women have some semblance of cognitive ability and are more likely to vote to preserve their own rights.

Of course, going by how hilariously terrible you are at hiding your veiled racism, we most likely agree for different reasons.

- Don't bet on it. How many conservative states have had conservative women come out, strike down the draconian abortion bans hoisted on them by their own party, then go back to consistently voting Republican anyway?

I'd bet good money that its going to be a lot of them...

Go take a look at the projected 2022 House and Senate election maps before and after Dobbs.

- Does that show conservative women voting against republicans or unmotivated dem voters getting pumped up and coming out in droves? Based on what I'm reading its a lot more of the later than the former.

I generally don't buy the "men dumb, women smart(er)" narrative, people are people and we're all just as capable of self deception based on ideology regardless of race, gender, etc.

It's factual. Crime will be one of the top subjects in the election.
It's your OPINION that the man you name is at the top of the list of candidates for Trump's VP.

Absent you providing sources besides your OPINION it isn't a fact.

Although males commit the majority of crime in America, specifically white and Black men generally, suburban men don't like crime because it affects them the most----that's why most suburban men moved out of the cities to go to the suburbs, where it is peaceful--or should be.
