Benwin BW2000 Flat Panel Speaker System with Subwoofer for $30

Does anyone actually own these speakers and if they do can they let me know how they sound. I found this at techbargains so it's not a big find I would just like to know how they sound. Thanks

Seems like speakers are pretty weak. Only 12 watts RMS total. 6 from satalites and 6 from subwoofer.

Well if they sound good then i guess it's a pretty good deal. You can't always rate the speakers by how much power they output.

The sub looks like a POS but i'm not too familiar with the flat panel speakers. They are computer speakers so I wouldn't expect them to get loud but if they sound nice then it's probably worth $30.

these speakers look really really cool. sleek, stylish and all that. The sound however are pretty much crappy. the bass is pathetic, and the speakers themselves are mediocre at best. if i were looking for quality, i'd rather buy the logitech x1's, which my roomie has. I tried the Benwin's, couldn't deal with it, and got FPS2000's.😀

well, i have had the speakers up and have tried limp bizkit, beatles, metallica, and will try some DMB in a minute-

1st impression- man, these things look sweet!! the cool factor is good, they come with stands or monitor/wall attachments. the sub looks less appealling, with a cloth cover over the small cone "sub" -(doesn't boom, let's just say )

2nd impression- the sound is marginal, as expected with a 30 dollar speaker - especially if you factor in the extra you are willing to pay for style (and the manufacturers do, just look at apples!) the speakers are tolerable at low to mid levels, basically providing sound only to the immediate listening area. Trying to play to another room would be a joke.

the sub has it's own level for volume, and so matching the panels with the sub is easy, but once you crank up the volume you have to readjust the bass as it kinda takes over at higher volumes. It can be recalibrated at the higher volume, but not worth the annoyance.

sound at high volumes is a joke.

overall quality is not as good as the speakers my cousin got with his dell (altec lansing 2 speaker) and i would say might be worth the money for the style but if you are a loud music kinda listener this isn't for you. i plan to keep them and use headphones if i wanna blast my eardrums.

FYI---speakers do need to be broken-in. Usually takes about 24-48 hrs
depending on the size. But, of course nothing will help a poor
design. :Q

If your talking about the Altec Lansing ACS33 Powercube Speaker System then i've seen it at SAM's club for $40 and actually bought it a while ago. Sound pretty nice but not too great, but I may be spoiled with my cerwin vega's(NOT computer speakers). If your not talking about the ACS33 then could you please post a link to some info on the speakers or at least tell us what model they are? Thanks.
