Bent Pin

I just received a TBird 900 from UpgradePlanet.Com, and went to install it when i realized it wouldn't go in the socket. At first I thought i was doing something wrong (this is the first box im building myself), then i lifted up and found only 1 of the pins slightly bent in the center. Is it possible to bend this back into place without breaking it? Or should I just have UpgradePlanet send me a new one. I would normally send it in but it takes UpgradePlanet awhile to ship things out.

Just get a needle-nose pliers and (gently!) bend it back to the straight position. Also, make sure that the temperature monitor in the middle of the socket is not up too much so it seems like the CPU isn't in the socket correctly.

I use a push type lead pencil - which uses a 0.9 lead. I remove the lead and just push the leg thru the front hole to straighten bent CPU pins.
