Bent/Broken Pin :-\ Newegg RMA Policy?

Well I found my new Athlon 64 2800+ CPU had a few bent pins and I accidently broke one :-\ I just read Newegg's RMA policy and it seems they don't honor CPUs with broken/damaged pins. Is there anything I could actually do? I searched google and it seems like alot of people successfully RMA'ed their processors regardless. Any had similar experiences? (good ones hopefully)
 
Explain the situation. Newegg is normally pretty good about RMA's but it would have been easier if you notified them before breaking the pins all the way off. Never hurts to try. Just be nice to whoever you talk to and it will go a long way.
