i've seen american music albums with pictures of jets slamming into the twin towers. where's the outrage over that?
then there's your own president taking blatant photo opps at ground zero to further his middle east agenda.

Exactly. IMO, this is nothing compared to the movies that made money off 9/11.

The 9/11 movies were telling the story of what happened on that day. I went to see 9/11 the movie and was really shook up over it.
This ad makes completely no sense whatsover in relation to 9/11.
It'd be like an ad putting an Xbox 360 in Hiroshima in 1945 Japan with a nuclear bomb going off in the background and the Xbox 360's image etched into a nearby wall from the blast.

Wow, I wonder what they were thinking?
Maybe they took a page out of the republican play book.
ZING!
That being said, I think I have a meeting with them in Vegas in January. I'll definitely ask them about this.

Both the movies and benQ are using the images to make money, so saying that it's ok for the movies to use it and not ok for BenQ to use it is stupid.
I'm sure Nicholas Cage gave all of the money he made from the movie to charity too!![]()

The point of a movie (well, most movies) is to make money. Yes. However, the main focus of 9/11 (the movie) was to show the audience WHAT happened leading up, during and after the attacks and what those two PA authority officers went through on that day...and their families.
The point of this BenQ ad is...????

I didn't need a multi-million dollar movie to tell me what happened on 9/11...
To make BenQ look stupid. Clearly this is a social faux pas for them, I wouldn't bother to be too outraged about it since clearly no one is going to buy a product with the ruins of the WTC used as the background.Originally posted by: NFS4

Fine. That's you. But seeing the movie was a surreal experience for me and I actually broke down in tears while watching it. I don't think there was a dry eye in theater when we left.
9/11 wasn't quite within my grasp from far away here in NC and seeing talking heads analyze it on TV networks...watching it on the big screen and from their perspective, the people that were actually there...their stories, really floored me.
I had a similar experience with Schindler's List

and the movie still made millions of dollars off a tragedy. and benq is the devil? rofl?

Your missing the point.
World Trade Center was a film drama about the events of 9-11 and it made money (and was endorsed by the family members portrayed in the film)
This BenQ ad is about a MP3 player that has nothing whatsoever to do with 9-11
I see where you're going with your commentary, but you're not quite understanding that the comparison doesn't work.
