But I don't... but I can't agree with people who want to stick their nose in the business of others and trample those person's rights. I don't care what consenting adults do.... if two guys love each other and like playing with each others balls, more power to them. Much like I don't care if a mixed couple gets married. It wasn't all that long ago that an interracial couple was looked at as very unnatural or whatever.

No, marriage is a celebration for those two, but it is little more than a tax agreement with the government. You and people like you won't suddenly celebrate gay marriage if it becomes legal everywhere, will you? I don't see how anything from your anti-gay perspective changes. It is just giving equal rights, bringing people who didn't have the same rights on par with the rest of us.

Well said. If government wants to infringe on anyone's liberty, it should have to show a damned good and necessary reason to do so. If government wants to infringe on anyone's liberty discriminatorily, then that reason must be a LOT better. That goes even if the majority supports the infringement; that goes ESPECIALLY if the majority supports the infringement.

I would not want coworkers who were working to deny me the same rights they enjoy. I think my employer has a perfect right to hire such persons, but I'd certainly raise a big stink over it too. HGTV has a lot of gays, and while I'm sure it has its share of Christian fundamentalists as well, not many gay people are advocating ONLY gays being able to legally marry or that Christian fundamentalists should have restricted rights compared to others.

Nothing trumps the most powerful religion in the United States.
