Hey guys. I was just wondering if CompUSA and Staples employees get a good discount on the products. What percentage do they get and are there any other things they get discounts off? Reason I'm asking is because I'm considering getting a job there...but I'd like to know what kind of employee benefits there are. Thanks in advance.
 
depends on the product

anything computer wise you'll save next to nothing on because their profit margins are very, very, very low

cables taht cost you 20 dollars you could probably get for like 4 with yoru employee discount
 
No everyday discounts for Staples employees unless they have added one since 98. There are a couple days a year when you get like 10 - 15% discount on normal prices.
 
i had a friend who worked for BB and a friend who worked for crapusa

and i have apps for both on my desk right now

Yes it is. You might be better off doing retail clothing sales...benefits are a lot better. I used to work for Banana Republic...you get 50% off 6 regular priced tops and/or bottoms, 60% off promotional item and 30% off sale and gift certificates. Tommy Hilfiger gives 50% off sale and regular priced clothing...no fragrances or gift cards though.
 
Work at Best Buy, at least then you can get crazy discounts on speakers, and car audio

As people have said discount on computer hardware is nothing, markup on hardware is rarely over 10%
