How come when I run 3dmarks it shows my CPU as 2806 but when I run PCmarks it shows as 2740?

Their different benchmarks, designed to test different aspects of a systems performance. They also calculate the score differently.

Yeah but if my computer is a 2.8 ghz CPU why wouldn't it show up as 2.8 instead of 2.7?

Theres always a little discrepancy based on the type of software.
