So Silverforce you mean to say that they will just ignore 70% of PC who are on DX11 and sell the game to 30% who do not even spend the money to buy a proper gpu?

Lol, I didn't realize my AMD card was not a "proper" GPU...and here I thought it played my games pretty well :D

I get around 64 avg fps with the built in benchmark with my setup in my sig with the ultra preset. I tried it with HBAO+ and SMAA ultra and it dropped down to around 61 fps. While actually playing the game it doesn't seem to run as smooth with HBAO+ on even though its just a 3 fps hit on my system according to the benchmark. I'll just leave it at the ultra preset. Ultra preset looks fine to me. BTW my 980ti is at 1500/3700.

This game seems to be running pretty nicely. Guru3d pointed out some Mgpu issues, but they will get worked out. FPS doesn't seem to be an issue in this game. Overclocking a 980ti really seems to add a crap ton of performance. It just blasts ahead lol. I am intrigued by this game. Maybe I'll read up on it some more.

I would really like to see the frametimes when HBAO+ is enabled.

Could you run a 30-60 secs run with HBAO+ on/off and record frametimes with fraps ??

I'm having a good bit of fun, it's a pretty mechanically tight third person shooter with good and varied guns. I think they overtuned the importance of numbers, but levels come pretty quickly and if you don't have anyone in the group way overleveled for the content you won't see that make a big difference.

Most importantly there's a lot more than the worryingly few missions in the beta.

I was going to post some last night but I'm having trouble with the game crashing on the transition screen after the the benchmark completes if I set all options to max. Ultra preset works fine, I was getting ~160FPS there.

I've not tried recording frametimes before. I will give it a try.

Anyway, I just upgraded from an HDD to a SSD for my game and storage drive and my average FPS jumped from 64 to 73.5 according to the Benchmark. I am not sure why. I haven't had much time to see if I noticed any difference in game yet. I suspect I wont notice any difference.

Good to know. I'll be installing on my SSD then

Interesting. I wonder if that has anything to do with the texture streaming. Glad I have a huge SSD.

Could you also run it in a single card setup as well?
Edit:I'm assuming the resolution is 1440p.

That happened right at launch. Was perfectly fine yesterday

It happened to me last night at around 10PM.

Had to restart the game a couple times to be put into an instance that worked

Logging out and back in is a bit better but for anyone interested this is the correct method to get through fast.

purepc test results. Titan X at top. Fury X does well at 1440p but scales poorly wrt R9 390X which is impressive at 1440p and 1080p. R9 390 is also a good performer. R9 380 crushes the GTX 960 and R9 380X matches the ref 780. the 780 Ghz does well and gets close to GTX 970.

They even tested various settings and with PCSS and HBAO on/off. Impressive.

And definitely Fiji is under-performing in these recent games compared to Hawaii. There's room there for AMD to extract more performance out of Fiji SKUs in future drivers. The 16.3 drivers today boosted Fury performance in Rise of Tomb Raider by 16%, as it was also under-performing in that game compared to Hawaii.

1080P, I can try 1440 by using DSR maybe. This game either needs a patch or the latest nVidia drivers are junk, I can barely stay in the game it's crashing so much. The thing is it's not crashing during actual strenuous rendering, it's crashing on loading screens, menus and such. Getting ready to try to get those HBAO+ on/off benches.

Alright, not really a big difference. These were both ran at 1080P and the Ultra preset with v-sync and frame limiter settings turned to off. One is with Ambient Occlusion turned off (Ultra preset is "very high" by default), the other is with HBAO+ enabled.

1080P with every in game setting/slider as high as it will go, beyond Ultra.

I can give it a run at 1440P if you'd like with a single card. What preset were you looking for?
This is Tri-SLI 1440P via DSR, like above, all settings to absolute maximum.

Oh, I don't think I'd mentioned....All the above are collected by FRAPS while running the in game benchmark. I start it just after it appears and end it as it's beginning to fade out. Most of these numbers, take with a pinch of salt. The game is in need of a patch and probably another driver revision from both camps before we can get a real picture. Cards running default clocks.

What software are you running to get those reports?
