Benchmarking a Wireless Router

Is there any software to benchmark wireless router's performance, I tried Sandra but dont think I'm getting consistent results as far as up/down streams.

Is there any software out there that focuses on benchmarking wireless routers performance?

Benchmarking a Router per-se is rather useless.

The Router has variety of functions within the Network. Y ou can"Benchmark" few of its function in vivo.

Like, Local Wire Transfer, Local Wireless performance, Internet Speed.

Once you get numbers you have to find a frame of reference since the Data Sheet per-se is useless for this purpose.

you're right I'm not looking to test all functions of the device, just wireless transfer rates and its overall performance with lots of connections open. if you can recommend any tools I'd appreciate it. thanks.

Have a look at smallnetbuilder. See http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/wireless

They do tests on wireless transfers, multiple sessions ect.
