neither of those will work, i have a old dell lappy - Inspiron 8600 its got better specs then both of those you listed and it runs wow at 1-3 FPS with all the settings as low as they can go

It's WoW... Do you really need more than 1-3FPS?

Something tells me he isn't going to have the money for an SSD if that's the best laptop he's willing to get. Also holycrapslow SSD. Takes my X25-M like 12 seconds to load Dalaran.

And holycrapevenslower HDD. Could at least use a Black to compare to.

I have a generic wd 1tb hdd and my dal load times aren't anywhere as long as the one in that video. It's possible he's using a -huge- number of addons (I use quite a few myself), as they slow load times. It's also possible he's using an outdated addon, I've had nasty performance issues related to outdated addons.

FWIW I'm loading WoW off a 640 GB Seagate HDD in less time then the dude in that youtube vid is loading of his SSD

takes me about 10 seconds from char screen to dal with textures loaded, and that was with an online stopwatch i started and then moused over and loged in

Lets put it this way, I attempted to play on my work laptop, C2D 7500 at 2ghz, with 2 gig ram and an nvidia quattro 120 (7400 equivalent i think), I tried to get into naxx while it was the big raid, and in Dalran I was watching a slideshow, less than 1 fps, so I set everything to the lowest possible and tried playing at 800X600, and was actually able to move and got ~5-7 fps, yes you may be able to play 1-60 by yourself, if you don't mind dieing alot.
