Benchmark / Burnin Stress Test Apps

I am getting my new computer this week and was wondering what are the standard stress test applications I should run on it to make sure everything is in working order. I know memtest and superpi, but is there any other apps that you guys recommend ? Also must be compatible with vista.

Those tests aren't really to make sure everything is in order, they are used to verify that your computer won't lock up or catch on fire when under a heavy load.

Usually only necessary with experimental overclocking.

What I meant to say is to make sure none of the parts are defective (mainly the ram).
