Benched 265 lbs today

This says you could do around 320. Even if it's optimistic you're definitely in the 300 club. I know the world max is like 700 but few adults will ever be able to bench 300 so it's definitely a good chunk of iron to be moving 😀

Damn dood, props to ya. My bench is pretty damn weak...it's embaressing. Every other body part is about what other guys my size are lifting if not more but my bench is just pitiful
 
That's my warmup. And that's not that far from the truth.

I can pretty much guarantee that you can put an extra 40 pounds on your bench in 6 weeks using partials and heavy negatives.

Pretty damn good 🙂 Congrats, man.

At the moment, I'm up to 5-6 reps of 255lbs depending on what kind of day I'm having. I've been fairly plateaued for a while now, though, so that sucks. Gotta start throwing some more weight on there sometime. Also need to throw in some heavy negatives if I can find anyone that I trust to spot me.

As for height and weight: 5'10" and 164lbs as of today.

Do you have chicken legs?? 😀

I haven't done standard bench press with a barbell for over a year now. Dumbbells seem to work so much better... I'm starting to hit a plateau on strength because of my crappy grip. Need to start actively training grip and forearms for grip stabilization.
 
my ex roomates brother (who has been called the "perfect person") used to be a all state running back. he was 5'9 and about 190 , could bench 430. he's an electrical engineering major at MIT now. i on the other hand am like 165 pounds and 5'11 and i cant bench press worth crap. i am gonna work on that this summer, if i can get past 150 (which is about what i can do now) max i'd be proud.
 
I benched 300 lbs!!! I had to push your mom off of me heheheheeheh.....

Seriously, I haven't worked out in a year. I could probably put a couple for marshmallows on the ends of a stick and get it half way up my chest.
 
im 6'4 270 and can push 210. Not too good for my height and weight, but i dont work out anymore, football is over.

Anyway my bench is ok but my legs are a joke. I'm squatting more recently but I can bench more than I can squat which is really bad. I used to be able to deadlift about 350 max for a rep but my back is not forgiving like it used to be. Deadlift is fun though becuase you can just pile on the weight like a maniac.

Eh, 250... There wasnt even a single FRESMAN (highschool) who maxed at 250. I think the lowest for a freshman was like 295. I made 400 3 times
 
Hey like most real men on the internet I can bench 385 lbs, curl 185 lbs am 6'8" and have an IQ of 175

My friend who competes in bodybuilding said to me the other day "It's not how much you lift, it's how much you look like you can lift." 😛

I think he was just mad because I can bench over 400 lbs and he can do about 295-3. Granted, he looks like a bodybuilder at 5'8" 190lbs, and I look like a box at 5'9" 255lbs
