Benched 265 lbs today

Since there has been so many workout threads lately - here's mine...

Benched 255lbs today, 8 clean reps 🙂 I've put up 7lbs in the last 3 weeks - I'm 6'0", 187 lbs now.

For comparison - I used to bench 185 just a year ago

Update: This is 2 weeks later and I just benched 265lbs. Did 9 reps, but needed help on the 9th one, so only 8 clean ones. I weight 188.5 right now 🙂

P.S. Still haven't done my max. I just hate wasting all my energy on one or two reps and then not being able to work out.
 
Nice man nice, right now I'm at 200 i can do 12 reps (with the last 4 really really struggling) (i'm 255LB 5'11") Been working out for about 2 months now

200 is awesome. I think after 2 months of working out I was still benching only 135.
 
i don't know how much i can bench, no more than 150 that's for sure......i'm only 6'1" and 155 or so......tall lanky mofo

Hahaha, you own me. I'm about 5' 8" and can bench about 160, but who needs pecs and triceps when you run? 🙂 I can leg press over 250 pounds 😀

EDIT: I weigh 135 pounds

Pretty good. I haven't been able to bench 255 in years (only 1 rep though). I am 5'7" and was 150 lbs back then. Unfortunately, I'm much weaker now, and weigh the same. 😛

I can bench 225 for 6 clean reps, or 245 for 4 reps with 2 really struggling reps

Anyways, I don't focus on weights anymore. I'm more interested in my cardio these days - trying to get better with my road biking.

5'5 160 is really butch, I am 5'7 and 127, I believe it for one, height to weight, and second, us short guys have shorter arms 🙂
 
5'9" almost 5'10" 160 here. I used to be able to put up 225 8 times on my 4th set..I only weighed 155 at most then. Then this thing called senior projects happened and I didn't workout for 4 monthes and now I struggle to get 185 5 times on my 4th set. The thing that sucks even more is before I couldn't get above 155 in weight with dropping down to 150 in the mornings and now I'm 160-163 range with 0 lifting. Which means I've put on about 10 lbs of pure fat=/ Damn you beer and no working out...
 
255 8 times is dang good. What's your max then? My max in high school was 285, so that means i could probably do 255 only 2 or 3 times maybe. I'm sure your max is over 300.

But that was when I weighed around 190. I'm about 170 right now, so I've lost about 20 pounds of pure muscle. It's back to the gym for me
 
That's a lot of weight. I'm as strong now in bench as I've ever been - which is awesome since I've been actively dieting for several months now. My strongest recently has been 225 5 times. Also good clean reps but still it's a far cry from 255 8 times which would put your max at over 300 lbs. Once I lose another 5% or so bodyfat I'm going to take a week off weights then go back on them with an increased calorie intake and probably throw creatine into the mix! oh yeah I'm 5,11 and low 170's now down from low 190's. Another 10 lbs of fat and I can call the loss stage officially over!

I gotta try to max out next week - last I maxed was 285lbs but that was over a year ago. Btw, my fat level went up a little - which proves you can't gain muscle without a little fat 🙁
