Don't let them do it. Congrats on 115#. When I was in highschool I couldn't lift the bar (120 pounds, 5'9" weakling). Sure I could curl 35 pound weights with little effort but I couldn't bench press the bar. I got laughed out of the gym. Ten years later I'm finally getting back into weights. I bought a few dumbbells and I'm seeing great results in just 3 months. I'm up to two 40# dumbbells for the bench press and that is no problem. I don't have bigger weights yet to know my full bench press progress. I can do 230 pushups in 20 mintues at least...
You're still a Nancyboy. OP, don't listen to these pansies, keep it up and don't ever stop! Not only does it make you look better but it will keep your testosterone level up even into your 60's. Any wife or GF will thank you for it when you can still give her the high hard one when your are old and gray..like me:laugh:

its ok... you'll get better no time. make sure you lift heavy and eat like a beast. seriously, if you want to get strong, you have to eat like a beast.

ya, don't worry i used to have to spot basar (turkish) with no weights on the bar, and now he does 300+!

lol fvck that you dickweed. you never spotted me without any weights. the first time you spotted me i probably had 50 lbs more than the heaviest you've ever lifted in your life.

haha, my max is 275, and i weigh what, 40 lbs less than you?

Yep, but I'm looking a lot better than I did.
Hey I'm just busting your balls. The fact that you are working out on a regular basis puts you head and shoulders above most of the guys in our society.

how much do you weigh, how tall are you?
Actually many people when they first start lifting, especially benching, will not do as well as they think they can. That has to do not only wth their pecs, but their tris and shoulders. Many who would lift girlish amounts would see tremendous gains within 6 months if they did a full body work out over a week during the that time after which they'd notice their gains progressing at a much slower pace. The amount they lift is really not important as is the change in their physique. Bragging about how much you lift really is secondary to the way you look. I know guys who can bench over 500 lbs but I wouldn't want to look like them. Frankly I like being able to wipe my ass.

Like the ad says, Just do it! You've been doing it for such a short time, imagine how you would look after 5 years!

Try squats if you aren't currently doing them. You'll probably like them more than bench.
