While I don't consider myself to be anywhere near an expert on 3d issues, I believe I can read and comprehend as well as or better than anyone in this forum.
What seems crystal clear to me is that Ben Skywalker is quite a bit more knowledgeable in the area of 3d graphics and computers in general than most of us, including Voodoo Supreme.
I don't care if he has a degree in 3d graphics or not.....I doubt many programmers over the age of 30 have similar degrees, since they simply weren't widely available when they were in school. However, has anyone ever heard of on the job training or learning by yourself? There are many people in many fields that have no formal education but know just as much as people who do.
You can pull certain numbers that favor the cards you prefer out of any tests published. If that makes you happy and makes you feel superior for having bought whatever card you choose, great. I suppose everyone likes to read good things about any item they just spent hundreds of dollars on.
From what I've seen, Voodoo supreme seems to refer to tests and articles he has read and use these to support his case for the V5.
Every response I have seen that Ben has posted includes each point he disputes cut and pasted separately with his specific response.
Then it seems Voodoo comes back calling names, asking for credentials, etc., but never responds in a civil manner with specific rebuttals. It's obvious Voodoo doesn't agree with Ben, but has no way of providing any technical information on the subject, so he resorts to name calling and ranting and raving.
Basically, Voodoo, you don't like Ben because you can't argue on the same level with him. He comes across as arrogant to you because he makes statements/arguments that refute what you say, but you have no answer for it.
My advice is to either learn more about your topic, or just say "ok, I don't agree with Ben but I can't explain why and I really like my Voodoo 5 card" and move on.
