As for piling on Carson......

Ben Carson Is Struggling to Grasp Foreign Policy, Advisers Say

...two of his top advisers said in interviews with The New York Times that he had struggled to master the intricacies of the Middle East and national security and that intense tutoring was having little effect.

“Nobody has been able to sit down with him and have him get one iota of intelligent information about the Middle East,” Duane R. Clarridge, a top adviser to Mr. Carson on terrorism and national security, said in an interview. He also said Mr. Carson needed weekly conference calls briefing him on foreign policy so “we can make him smart.”

Replace Carson with Palin and it's deja vu all over again.

That's a thought I had about that article, too.

Interesting, in the linked article, it states ole Ben is having a hard time with the rat-a-tat quickness of a debate, but you'd think a neurosurgeon would have had to handle quick life-or-death decisions, so you'd think he could possibly think quickly on his feet.

Or not.

The Daily Show brought this adviser up played a clip of Carson being confronted with what the adviser said about him. Carson countered by saying this man wasn't one of his adviser, and then in describing what this man was to his campaign basically gave the definition of adviser.

Ben Carson is gold, I love the weekly proof that I'm so much smarter than a brain surgeon.

How does that even happen? For what reason would someone cut and move a section of the map? I undrestand doing that for alaska and hawaii to make them fit on a map, but this? Why?

This reminds me ... when I was 6, my brother thought that alaska was south of california because that is where they place it on as an inset on some maps.

But you don't mind a candidate saying there are 57 states?

The comment was meaning number of primaries. 50 states plus the US territories.

Guam, Puerto Rico etc that get to vote.

I wouldn't know the number of asked, so I am not going to call him dumb.

That is absurd since in his quote he mentions not going to Alaska and Hawaii. Your numbers don't add up. He misspoke, that's it.
