So apparently I have an infection in my belly button. Apparently its semi normal. moisture gets trapped insde and turns into an infection, just like an ear infection. I have to take anti biotics and clean with alcohol. Its kinda painful. Anyone else have this?

My wife had something like this happen when she had her belly button ring.

She had to take it out and let it heal up.

I wonder if you could just stuff a cotton ball in there to absorb moisture, then throw it out and replace it once it's soaked.

Its not exactly dripping. moisture just means condensation, not like a faucet.

Exactly, the alcohol will kill off anything that shouldn't be there. The treatment won't hurt (much) but the infection could make the area quite tender.

How does moisture get "trapped" in there? Do you guys have freakishly deep bellybuttons or something?
