Bellator 138 Fri June 19th FREE on Spike

wtching it myself. Good to see lashley win. man that guy is built. always wanted him and Brock to go at it.

This card has been damn good, not one decision. I have it paused right now, so could get one decision realistically.

lol damn near 30 lb diffrence. 204vs 232

rooting for shamrock. I just don't care for kimbo. IF ken can get it to the ground i think it's over.

lol kimbo is 4-2? just a slight mismatch.

ken is almost 50 and 30lbs lighter..damn he got balls. then agian kimbo sucks.

how kimbo survived that rear naked choke..amazing.

Yeah Kimbo is definitely a tough SOB, but man, that take down defense is just so bad! Ken completely gassed himself on that RNC.

I hope they shake hands now that this is finally over.

lol sherdog and such are blowing up it's a fix.

Sure ken is old..but he had that RNC in deep. people don't stay awake that long with one on.

it aslo does not help that there is a history of shinanagans with kimbo's fights.

lol i don't care. it's not like we are ever going to see kimbo fight for a title.

I haven't been over to Sherdog, but I saw it as a work, as well. I could very well be wrong, but that was one weird "fight".

Ok, I went over to Sherdog.....and this comment is basically how I felt when I watched the "fight". "Kimbo's RNC defense was ridicules...his neck broke Shamrocks arms."

it looked like a fix to me too. the takedowns looked fine. that is what happens when you have 1 person with training and 1 person with none.

The RNC though. man he had that deep and for like a long time.

but as someone said ken is living in a trailer and poor as shit. he needs the payday. Also kimbo is shit and will get knocked out by someone with decent power.

wow what a bullshit. pitbull was knocked out. so damn lucky

I'm not an MMA guy, really it does very little for me, but for some reason I happened to watch a bit of this last night. I was somewhat confused by that fight. Pitbull gets TKO'd but because it's a second before the bell for the round it's no big deal? Then the other dude suffers the same fate and the fight is immediately over when it looks like he also got up after shaking it off for a few seconds. Looked a lot like Pitbull just got lucky he got knocked out 1s before the end of the round so there wasn't enough time for him to be "vulnerable."

Similar thoughts for the Kimbo/Shamrock fight. With how deep/tight that RNC was, I just don't know how Kimbo stayed awake. Blood supply is blood supply and it doesn't matter how "badass" you are if your brain isn't getting oxygen. Maybe it wasn't as tight a hold as it appeared?

pretty much what you say. The reason though Pitbull was the bell. he was beaten at the end of the round and got time to recover.

that's why many are calling it a "work" or "fix". Shamrock had that RNC in tight and for a long time. kimbo should have been out. so the hold was not tight at all. Even at 50 Shamrock should have had the strength to put him out. Kimbo ain't that much of a "Badass"..or one at all. his 2 loses have been to OK fighters.

I thought it looked suspect, too. I mean, I know a lot of the trash-talk/hate was upped to hype the fight, but once in the ring, it looked "off".

First, were Ken's takedowns; I know he's 50, but geeze, they were ugly, slow, and Kimbo did NOTHING to stop them.

Then, when Ken takes Kimbo's back and gets his arm under his chin, he never gets his other arm behind his head (and doesn't seem to TRY) to actually get a RNC. He almost does a Gable-grip rear choke. A guy like Shamrock knows better than that; especially against a guy like Kimbo.

The way it ended was more believable, though. Kimbo definitely connected and fighters chins go to crap when they get old, so the punches looked real.

All of it together (combined with Bellator's side-show like atmosphere) just seemed sketchy. I'm not crying foul, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was some dirty business.
