<< I too ordered the first day, #717269xxx.
Still nothing, but status changed yesterday.
Previously showed something like:
"One or more items are currently not available, we are trying to fill order"
Now shows:
"Your item(s) is being processed and should ship by the estimated ship date"
Still shows:
Estimated ship date: Call for latest ETA

Anybody else see something similar?
>>

yup I'm getting the same exact thing for my order too 🙁
I called them up asking about it and they told me it's still being processed. Something about not getting another shipment yet. At least they reassured me my order wasn't lost 🙂 Hope I get it soon

<< Heh, mine came to my college, but they were delayed so long I graduated in the meantime. Does UPS forward packages? >>

Lol. That's great. I believe that UPS does forward packages.

Dell sent an update:

"We have reviewed your order # 717269xxx, and although we had anticipated
being able to ship your Belkin 10/100 NIC Card sooner, we are experiencing
an unexpected delay and we will not be able to ship your order until
3/22/02. We need your consent to continue your order. Please be aware that
unless we receive your consent via reply to this e-mail by 01/22/02, we are
required by law to cancel your order and provide you with a prompt refund."

What a crock. Notice the order #.
Much lower than others, yet still no cards..
If they can't ship the 10 I ordered, they should at least ship a token 1 or 2.
Unlike some of you, I really do have a business, and really do need these.
Not complaining about non-business owners getting cards and selling them.
Nothing wrong with trying to make a buck, (and that's all you can make with these).
Just do not like the way Dell handles transactions.

I got the same email, what bull!

They give less than 12 hours for consent and send the email out on a holiday? What's up with that... And I know people who ordered the exact same number of cards that I did and they got theirs like a week ago....

They're trying to cancel as many orders as possible.

Yes! the 15 NIC I ordered finally shipped! 😀 😀
3 packages hehehe only 13.16 not a bad deal at all. Should be here on the 23rd 🙂 🙂
Good luck to the rest of you who's still waiting on that order

I just received that email also. I also got the 02/28/02 email before that.

I just got done replying to Dell stating (in no uncertain terms) that I did
*not* want to cancel the order, and that I was very disappointed that
they seemed to be filling orders out of order.

We'll see if they respond.

I got the email too. Didn't expect this type of "sneaky" behavior from such a large, reputable company. Bet they cancel the remaining orders anyhow. :|

Got my 19 today. What the heck am I going to do with these bad boys?

Oh yeah, one more thing. How did Dell get to be the number 1 computer company? I bought 19 cards. They shipped them in 4 boxes, and I don't think you can ship anything by UPS ground for less than $5. That's $20, which is more than I paid for the cards (free shipping). They did the same thing when I bought my granny a printer. To take the total over $150 so I could use a coupon, I bought some screws. They shipped the screws in their own special box. They "screwed" themselves on that deal. And the screws were totally worthless.

I LOVE Dell! UPS guy knocked on my door this morning with my 20 NICs....jeez....wtf am I going to do with all these? Can't even remember what I spent on these things. Wasn't my ship date something like Feb 28? Oh the trial and tribulations of being a deal junkie...😉

Here someone at Dell, Momir_Radosavljevic@exchange.dell.com, who has been attempting to explain Dell position on the wholesale cancellation of the orders for 16 packs of Belkins 3 ft cables.

Dear Mr. X:
Yes you are correct. The cables were drastically under priced due to a "typo"error. Many other people are exhasparated too, because they thought they had found a clearance bargain or,something similar. While Dell can not be expected to honor honest mistakes (some of which could prove ruinous), we will make a good faith effort to satisfy our customers. As a result we are offering this merchandise at 15% less than we originally hoped to sell it for. We can also offer you free shipping, to lessen any dissapointment you may be feeling. I would be happy to re-place the order for you,
Thank you;
M.R.

I would suggest to anyone who has not receive his or her NIC, just send M.R. an email.

Sweet jesus, mine just came. I'm at college and my father calls me wondering why the hell 3 boxes (I only ordered 12) are sitting out front of the house when he gets home from work. Now to make sure they don't/didn't overcharge me.

I got my order today. Ordered 20 from Dell Small Business. Was supposed to be delivered in 4 boxes. Only got 3. Checked UPS tracking and one of the 4 was delivered to someone at a "dock" somewhere else this morning. Typical UPS great service. Contacted Dell to get another box of 6 sent to me.
