yup, looks like they caught on. I ordered one last night and it says mine is back ordered too.

now item is dead. even if you do a search and find it, when you click it shows a dead link.

i hope i get this. want to convert all my home network to G. i still have 2 wireless-b devices hanging around...

I printed the link when it was still active and finally made it to my local Office Max tonight.
They had one card left and even though it rang up at $49.99, I left the store with the card for $10.00 plus tax.

FYI I have led you all astray...i got this card and tried it out and it SUCKS. Problems keeping a signal. Sometimes it gets a signal but no dhcp address.
My laptop is 3 feet from my router and even if i dont move i will lose signal after awhile. And it doesnt work with netstumbler. All in all a sucky card. I went back to my 802.11b orinoco gold wireless card. Maybe its not as fast but at least i always have a connection. My advice is to cancel your order/return this card/ or cash in on the rebate to minimalize your losses.
