Belarc? Drivermax? danger or friend

I've run Belarc, and it tells me quite a lot of hotfixes that need to be reinstalled.
Windows update didnt tell me a lot of these.

I also ran Drivermax, and it tels lme there's new version of a lot of my drivers.

Wonder if people generally trust these two. Some of the hotfixs say they can't be installed when I try to - some say already installed - others just wont install, and Belrc tells me they are still in need of replacement.

Every "amazing PC fixer-upper" program I have ever tested was a dramatic failure. As you mentioned, most of them list updates that either don't exist, are already installed, or are in fact older than what is currently installed on the computer. I haven't tried Belarc, but I did test Drivermax and it was one of the most amusing in that many of the driver updates it suggested were for hardware that wasn't in my test system.

DriverMax does seem to report all my drivers accurately, and it does *seem* good...
