Ok, so how many of us are "on call" as a regular part of our jobs?

So far, it's a good night. I've only been paged twice.

I am on call 24/7/365

This is what I get for being the ONLY I.T. member of my company who works for more than 1 division of IT. I work for Unix Team, NT Team, Exchange Team, LAN/WAN Team, Citrix , and Telecom.

On call is the biggest load of crap ever. Don't get paid, but stil lcan't do anything cause you have to wait and see if you MIGHT have to work. If someone wants me to sit at home and wait for th phone to ring, then they can pay me my regular wages to do that.

I don't do "on call" at this job, but I have before.

I'm on call only when a "major incident" happens, such as the unlikely event of a fire, flood in the lab.

I'm on call once every 5 weeks....get paid $250 per week if I get called in or not.

I'm an RA at my college... which basically means I'm a bitch for Housing Food Services.

24/7/three qtrs a year, minus class time.
