I hate you OP! I just hate you so much and your stupid dumb threads!

Why can't you just chop your left hand off? If you lived in the Middle Ages they would've killed you for being a witch!

I'm left-handed and I don't care.
I write with my left but most pens are ambidextrous (no one uses fountain pens after middle school anymore), and I learned to use the mouse with my right hand because that's the right way to do it unless you want to go crazy when using other people's computers. I never had a personal computer (literal meaning) until late into my teens.
I have 2 paper scissors I've had since elementary school and those are enough for my rare paper cutting needs. In the kitchen I just use the right-handed kitchen scissors with my right hand if I have to cut plastic packages (e.g. corn flakes, vacuum-sealed sliced ham etc.), precision is not required anyway.

Yeah using a mouse is pretty much the only thing I do with my right hand, cause that's how I was taught to use a computer. I also play piano but my right hand is noticeably less capable than my left.

-sometimes smearing ink when writing
-dealing with the hump of the spiral wire on a notebook
-having to reverse left hand/right hand when reading golf instruction books.

That's all I got.

Oh, wait. Boomerangs. Got one for a birthday gift once. Threw it, never came back. Didn't find out until years later that they are 'handed.'

The pizza shop I worked at was set up by a left handed owner. There are a lot of cooking tasks that I do left-handedly, simply because you were almost forced to work that way.

At a fishing tournament last year (my son & I kicked everyone's asses - except for two 6" fish, we combined for all of the fish caught that day) one of the guys said, "I was going to say something about how you hold your pole backwards, upside down in the wrong hand, but who am I to talk since you guys caught all the fish." My grandfather's fault - he was left handed & taught me how to fish.

You fucking left handed demons can join my wife in hell. All of you! Sons of bitches do everything different. I hear my wife complain about using a laptop keyboard one more time, imma killin her. Damn weirdos.

On a serious side, my dad is ambidexterous because growing up he was forced to write the way God intended. When he was alone he would write and do everything lefty. So now he can actually sign his name simultaneously with both hands.

My wifes grandparents were rounded up by Hitler in Yugoslavia during WW2 and allegedly lefties were " sent away". So my wife's grandmother always made my wife write righty, just like my dad, she wrote lefty behind her back . So now she is evil, too.

Peace

Or he could just go down to his local Home Depot and cut it off like that dude did the other day. He is a witch, of this there is no doubt. Or warlock, whatever.

Edit: some famous lefties: Hugo Chavez and Pol Pot. There's some company I want to keep.

Peace

I write, throw, and swing left-handed. Everything else is done right-handed as that's how it was taught / how I learned back in the day. I can still remember people not understanding that I was left-handed when I was a kid, as I tried to explain it to them.

The only things in school that bothered me were the notebooks and desks. Fortunately, there were never many issues with finding baseball gloves or golf clubs for me growing up. I did choose to learn the guitar right-handed, though, as the selection is way better and I felt my left hand would be better suited on the fret board.

I write, eat, batted in baseball leftie. Some things just feel more natural in that hand.

I throw rightie, shoot a basketball rightie(but can dribble about the same and do layups leftie), play soccer with either foot.

So when writing/drawing with your left hand does anybody else find that they end up smearing what they wrote? I find that writing with the right hand is better in that regard, but there are still several uses where you may want to switch writing hands.

Yes, smearing is a common occurrence. Angle the paper, and write slower :p

I'm left handed though so only 10% can relate.

When I was younger it was cool, now that I'm older, meh. Its an unnecessary pain in the ass to do certain things backwards. My parents couldn't figure out for the longest time why I couldn't tie my shoes. You do it backwards when you re left handed derp. My parents weren't the smartest :awe:

When I was in school learning how to write I looked around at the kids around me and noticed everyone was using their right hand. Me of course, I had to be a dick and be different. I've been writing with my left had ever since then.

I bat left. I throw left. I write left.

I use all tools equally well with either hand. I tend to prefer using hammers with my right hand, but if it gets tired I switch it out to my left hand back and forth. The times I've been on construction sites someone usually brings it up and I hear people talking about it lol.

People haven't ever found it weird. People say it's cool.

But if you ask me to write with my right hand I'll look at you and be like, "I can't do that."

All my kids are strictly right-handed, I even tried to persuade one to try to use their left hand. Didn't work. Oh well.

Yea it's a real pain in the ass leaving part of your hand blue / black.

Like the other guy said, write slower ...

That's because left to right writing is designed to accommodate righty dickscarfs. Pens and pencils were designed to be dragged, not pushed. A vertical writing system would be ambidextrous but would not meet the ego needs of righties.

I am left hand and the only thing my right hand better is writting. I bat, throw, shoot gun, almost everything in life by left.

I don't feel there are a lot of problems (some of course) with being south paw. I guess that I learned to adapt.

Such a whiner. I'm left handed and have no issues with it aside from smudging what I'm writing sometimes. But my chicken scratch turns into illegible marks on the paper if I try with my right, so screw that.

I do a number of things right handed however since I was the only one in my family that was left handed. Other things I can do either hand which is rather convenient.

another lefty checks in.
Lefty story: In HS I played tennis, and one of my partners was a lefty. We are warming up for a match and suddenly our opponents got the clue we were leftys. You could tell it bothered them. We SLAUGHTERED those guys :p
