U got to have these hot though, cold doesn't do it justice. I had these when I was in Houston, TX. So much better than donuts, where can I get them in NYC?

I went to the Cafe Du Monde... all it is is a heavily sugar powdery coating over a donut... (not really a donut but some form of pastry)

Not very good in my opinion... way too damn sweet.

I personally like beignets (especially from Cafe Du Monde). However, when you go to Cafe Du Monde when it's extremely busy (which happens to be most of the time), the beignets aren't as good. So now that I wasted your time with my beignet experience....you can get beignets in New York City at:

F&B
269 West 23rd Street
646-486-4441

or

F&B
150 East 52nd Street
212-421-8600

Not sure which location is valid, so give them a call.

(For more info visit:HERE and HERE)

Enjoy. :)

This is the only place to get them. Anything else is just an imiatation.

Something I learned from experience: Don't try to save them for later. They start to ooze grease, and it will just gross you out. When they're warm though, there's nothing better.

Another lesson: While you can buy the beignet mix and cook them yourself, it's not the same. Not at all...
Luckily, i live in New Orleans.

AgentUnknown, glad you found a location you can get Beignets from. I've had Crescent City beignets before, and they arent as greasy...er...I mean as good as the Cafe Du Monde. And yes, beignets are only good fresh and warm. ;)
