Edit: is that a PVS-14?

Its an AR15. I make a point to have a gun in any picture I take. I dunno, just a thing.

Very close. Its actually a MUM. Basically a newer version of a PVS-14. Good eye.

Not to hijack my own thread, but Ar15 w/ MUM attached

Nice weapon. You should add some stuff on the rail system and take more pics.

You should probably get one of those grenade launchers from the video games. You know, the one that attaches underneath the barrel? That would be neat :)

Not trying to be smark, just have someone who plays and thinks he's god. I'd like to prove him wrong

Well, 1st edition and 2 edition are almost dead bang compatible. The rules are very, very similiar.

1+2 compared to 3+4 is apples to oranges. If you knew 1+2 you could not use those rules, nor in fact would you even be ready to play 3+4.

Two totally different beasts with the same name.

The gun is for settling rule disputes, right? Not a bad idea... every dungeon master should have one :)

Let's stay in character. Every DM should settle disputes with a vorpal weapon.

I still haven't thrown out my Neverwinter Nights gold box game. At least books are still technically usable. No playing Neverwinter Nights since AOL shut it down.

It almost looks like you have the night vision scope looking through the holo site... does that work?

Ovious as to why....small e-penis.

When you have guns like mine, you dont worry about what your e-penis is.

;)

Yeah, thanks for keeping the Githyanki out of the hood at night.

I started with the new Black Box edition of D&D back in the early 90's.
My life hasnt been the same since. In retrospect I wish I had spent more time playing sports and chasing girls.

Am currently into the 3rd edition, and am one of the folks who sees absolutely no purpose for 4th edition. I think its just a way to milk more money from decent people.

I always thought 3rd Edition was a way to milk money from people.

I found a good home for my near mint collection of AD&D books on Craigs List. I sold the lot of them to a nice couple that still actually plays it.. and wears their books out.

The 1E'ers said the same things about 2E (IMHO 2E was really more pro-parent than pro-game, I know many that spun it into a hybrid)...3E more or less made gameplay a little easier, but many players were already following this kind of style already.

I haven't played since that time, but from what I understand 4E is going to make game play even easier. Even way back when DM's were using PC's to simplify a lot of things...players always have liked to roll their own dice though for certain things.

I liked some of the new additions from 2nd edition. But after that is seemed to be too ruled up and bulky.

Old style..."Oh, you want fish? Ok...umm...Roll a d20 against your int + dex / 2"

New style...."Oh, you want to fish? Ok, you need the fishing skill, lure tying, and casting skills. Oh and this is a freshwater stream so you also need shallow water skill and you can have a bonus if you have moving water skill. Additionally its 1:30 in the afternoon so theres a penalty there. Ok, figure all that up, then rol. We'll then need to compare all of that to your Int."...."But, I just wanna fish..."

The reason I like 1st ed is because it has a lot of freedom. You ROLE play, not RULE play.

AD&D. Good times. Still have most of my hardcovers around somewhere - though no modules.

I haven't played in more than 10 years though - and I was mostly doing Battletech and Shadowrun at the end of my pnp days.
