I personally can’t think of anyone and yet I’ve heard from multiple trump supporters including people on this forum (it’s been a while though), who have said things like, “I support trump but I really wish he would stop talking”.

This is a bizarre moment in America. I have hope for 2021. 2020 has been oh so fucked up. Well, the whole Trumpf presidency. I very honestly wonder every time I see that guy addressing a crowd how they can stand there and listen and watch him. I look at them and wonder. Well, I wouldn't go out of curiosity. Not a chance. Won't be watching the RNC. I'll check out reporting on it, from a safe distance.

You know why one of the reasons dictators stay in power right? Self preservation. They know that if they lose power all the shit they have done to get there will catch up with them and best case is life in prison, worst a brutal execution. So they fight like their life depends on it. Cause it does. You might want to expand that notion of thought not just to the Donald but to a section of congress goppers as well. I can't think of any other American President, or any world leader presently in power, that thrives on sowing chaos as much as donald. Heck, even something as relatively routine as planning the RNC-he has changed 180 degrees several times in the past few months. It's little wonder that he burns out his staff so quickly.

The only real constants are the worship of authoritarians and the constant self dealing (latest episode is venuing the Washington DC portion of the RNC next door to a Trump hotel, where he immediately jacks up the room rates 60% for the convention).

The only difference between anarchy and authoritarianism is that in one case the populace is exploited by the whims of a crowd, in the other by the whims of a single person.

Madness? He's got to up his game a bit to compete with the likes of Little Kim but he's definitely way beyond the curve of any leader of this country since Mad King George (who, unlike DJT, only had periods of madness).

Won't be watching it either because that convention will hold true to GOP/FOX form and will be in every way a Republican Liar's Convention. Trump and his lackeys have been ramping up the lying to such an extent that I'm embarrassed for them that they have to veer that far off from reality in order to justify their complete lack of morals, ethics and honest discourse and have no other alternative except to fake and cheat their way to victory.

yeah in my life, we like these people in the group because they entertain us and make us all feel better about ourselves for not being so stupid and useless. But lol if anyone ever thinks to put them in charge of anything.

The argument that things are terrible and we are on the edge of disaster really only works if you can forget he's been president for 4 years. Vote Trump to protect from the bad outcomes of....a Trump administration isn't the hottest pitch.
