The most important thing to remember:
Buy a good mask, for 2 reasons:
1. A good gun is nothing if your mask fogs and your vision is blocked.
2. Crappy lenses have a risk of breaking once you've been gogged (shot in the goggles)!!!

Your eyes/vision during the game > your gun.

Do they still produce the Tippman Model 98? That was my beginner gun. I still have it actually, never use it anymore. Also have a 14" All American barrel, good stuff.

I thought buying a good air tank along with goggles was the smart thing to do.

I started playing paintball recently, when i get to college. I enjoy it very much, but it is expensive.

The thing you want to think about when playing is what you want to play. Wehn i play at school, its usually 5v5 speedball. very quick, intense, and people lay down a lot of paint. Other types of paintball are scenerio play, with buildings and such. You have objectives. and what not.

When i bought my gear, I got myself a marker from action village, along with my mask, hopper, CO2 tank, squeegiee (sp), barrel plug, and some oil to keep my gun in shape. I have an eForce EXT Piranha marker. My future upgrades are (if I can stop buying pc hardware) get a new N2 tank, and a new barrel for my marker.
