Beggers at gas stations!!!

Yeah I had a guy come up to me with that "need gas money to get to ___" line this week...seems to be the latest trend for homeless dudes.

Godsend? Only if you're lucky enough to have gotten onto the freeway before the lights turn on. Then you're stuck in an eternity of gas-break-gas-break-gas-break and staring at the same ugly guy in the expensive car next to you for eight minutes.

There was a person in my hometown who ripped off around 500 dollars total off of people. She would ring the doorbell and say that she needed a few bucks for gas because of some emergency. A story ended up in the paper about it. A few days later, she was arrested.

Personally, I have never had that happen to me, but out in Boston, I will see quite a few beggars out on the street... one night I was walking to the T hammered, and one guy kept pestering me... so I just gave him all the change in my pocket.... turns out that I had T tokens in there as well....DOH!

Phoenix is panhandler central. And we also have a great trend-teenage ones. I mean, I always thought it took time to become a bum. I didn't know you could just jump right in.

No, never. But then, I live in Canada where you almost never see beggars or homeless people except in the downtown core. I hear the problem is worse down south.

Never and if they hasseled me I'd be honest with them and say I've been burned twice over "gas money" (actually once, but my parents later by the same guy pulling the same scan believe it or not), and no matter how much she whimpers I simply can't give her any.

I am a bit jealous however that women can have multiple orgasams... On top of that, I think they get to experience something really special when they give birth to children. A small bit of me knows that there is something there that I will never experience.

I don't even look at them.. I see everyone but rarely make direct eye contact with people anymore because I don't want to know them and don't want them talking to me.

Bums and Beggars don't even get a reply from me. I can also usually tell beforehand what they are going to do so I give them a sort of evil that says "don't even ask"

The ones I know are homeless, I usually give them a dollar or so. Other than that, I tell em I don't got any, then ask them for a dollar right after. They tell me they don't have any and they usually walk away.
