i just switched from dsl to cable (Earthlink via Time Warner Cable in NYC.) first of all, my speeds have improved dramatically from what i was getting with directvdsl...they went from 485kbps down/81kbps up to 1352/371 and i haven't tweaked anything yet. but i'm having problems connecting through my wireless router. i upgraded the firmware (1.39.2, Oct 09 2001) and have it set to obtain an ip address automatically and have login disabled. do i need to fill in the host name and domain? i'm not really sure what else i'm supposed to do. thanks!
someone told me that the service might validate the MAC address of the client it was set up on...this could be the case as I can't get a WAN IP in the linksys. do i need to use the "clone mac address" feature?
