So what did all you people do before the internet?...before surfing, before chatrooms, before forums?
Basically not that long ago...perhaps 10yrs...so most people should be able to remember...

did u have more or less life?

For me, I was still on the computer a lot, but working/learning about programs...etc.
I was also busy in college, had more in-the-flesh human friends, went out more...
also played console games more, ...

10 years ago i was in high school and had the internet (if you can call AOL that). but before that, i played video games.

I AM part of the Nintendo Generation! w00t!

Or I played outside...played sports...watched baseball...

didn't get internet until like the 8th/9th grade. before that i just read a lot, mostly nonfiction scientific/electronics stuff. i'm a true nerd.

then i wouldnt be such a loser stuck up on my computer all day 🙁

Then turn the damn thing off and go outside. No one is stopping you.

I ran a 2 node BBS with Renegade 10-05 software. it was mad l33t with
nice ansi.

I also putzed around on prodigy, compuserv services and other BBS's.

I remember them good ole days.

I played on BBSes before I found the internet.

I still play on BBSes to this day.

10yrs ago I was in first school.

I played a lot on my SNES and owned SF:II and the various games on it. Super Gouls and Ghosts PWNED me though 🙁

Didn't go out as I wasn't allowed as I was 9. Watch tv. And did my sports.

I was still in undergrad ten years ago, so of course all of my activities were focused on girls and somehow connected to beer. 😀

It takes a lot to get me out of the house now, which I have attributed to getting married and being older but now I'm wondering if I should blame the internet instead.

I would sit up all night programming in Commodore BASIC instead of programming in PHP/Perl/etc. like I do now. In other words, not much difference.
