Beet Juice as a de-icer

Horrible idea.

Care to give a reason? I can think of several, but apparantly so far, you can't list any. Another poster said it may be to stop animals from eating the salt. Which, is really a reason not to add the salt.

Sugar is used already and it works far better (for the reasons that I posted) in certain conditions.
