Someone needs to invent small mesh covers that will fit over an open soda can. Went to a birthday party at the park today, and the bees were awful. There were 2 in my Black Cherry Soda can.

I didnt drink them....actually had sense enough to check before I did.

I remember in middle school they sold soda can lids - it had a snap flap so it sealed when you weren't drinking from it, in case it spilled at your desk.

Of course, if you do that, they'll hover around the opening, and sting you on the hand when you pick up the can. You just can't win.

Back in the day my aunt swallowed a bee that was in her soda, and it stung her in the throat.

That was not good. Thank god she isn't allergic.

I had was headed home from work one day doing 70 the interstate, and did the same thing. Except, as soon as I realized something solid was in my drink, I gagged/spit the mouthfull of DrPepper all over the dash of my Ranger..

Cleanup was a pain, and my defroster still smells like syrup.

I remeber I used to have as a kid a big plastic lid that snapped on over the entire top of the can, then there was a little flip part that was kind of grated that you would drink out of, no way a bee could get in and it would snap back down and cover up the top completely so they wouldn't buzz around it even.
